Welcome to the official website of the Babson United Rugby Club! Founded in 1979 at Babson College by Tim DeMello, "BURC" seeks to promote the wonderful game of rugby and brotherly sportsmanship in a challenging, fun environment.

Wholly independent of Babson College's varsity athletics program, yet ardently supported by the school's administration, BURC supports itself primarily through member dues, alumni contributions, and an annual stipend from the College's student-led steering committe, based upon need as identified in our annual budget.

Babson College also lends invaluable support to the club through our use the school's weight-lifting room, indoor track, training facilities, and sports physio services. Without the support of the College, the BURC wouldn't be nearly as strong as it is today, and we do our best to do the Babson name proud.

Club membership is not based on athletic ability. Anyone can play rugby for BURC...all you need is boots and a gumshield (cleats and a mouthpiece). If you happen to love rugby, but aren't necessarily interested in lacing up your boots, you can always become a social club member. You don't even have to slice oranges...just show up and cheer us on!

So come on out and join us...you'll be glad you did!
